Job Overview
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Head Chef to lead our culinary operations in a high-volume food production factory specializing in healthy meal boxes (approximately 5,000 meals daily). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in large-scale food production, a commitment to quality and nutrition, and the ability to manage a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment. 

Key Responsibilities
  1. Menu Development & Innovation: 
  • Design and refine healthy, balanced meal recipes that align with the company’s nutritional standards and customer preferences. 
  • Collaborate with R&D team to ensure meals meet dietary requirements and maintain variety. 
  • Stay updated on food trends to introduce innovative and appealing menu options. 
 
  1. Production Oversight:
  • Manage daily operations to ensure the efficient production of high-quality meals.
  • Oversee portion control, consistency, and presentation standards for all meal boxes. 
  • Ensure production timelines are met to maintain on-time delivery. 
 
  1. Team Leadership & Training: 
  • Lead, train, and motivate the kitchen team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance team skills and maintain high standards. 
  • Manage staff schedules and resolve operational challenges effectively
 
  1. Quality Assurance & Compliance
  • Implement and enforce strict food safety and hygiene protocols in compliance with local regulations
  • Conduct regular quality checks to ensure meals meet company standards.
  • Monitor and minimize food waste while maintaining production efficiency.
 
  1. Cost & Inventory Management:
  • Manage food costs and inventory levels to achieve cost efficiency without compromising quality.
  • Work closely with the procurement team to source fresh, high-quality ingredients.
 
  1. Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities to improve production processes, reduce costs, and enhance meal quality. 
  • Leverage technology and best practices to optimize kitchen operations.

Requirement
  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar leadership role within a high-volume food production environment. 
  • Strong knowledge of nutrition, healthy meal preparation, and dietary requirements. 
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills. 
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and kitchen hygiene standards. 
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Experience in working in mass production kitchen is an advantage.
  • Experience in an ISO-standard kitchen is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is a plus.
  • Must be a Hong Kong resident eligible to work in Hong Kong.

Work Location
  • Central Production Kitchen in Ap Lei Chau, Hong Kong
Working Hour
  • Saturday to Wednesday (7am – 5pm)
  • Actual working days and hours are subject to change based on the business needs
